Second Sunday Meetings on Zoom

What It’s All About

Second Sunday meetings are informal, online gatherings to discuss open topics about genealogical research. Pre-pandemic, we used to meet at the library for a bit of searching and socializing. But, thanks to online platforms, we can now meet from home!

Meetings include a Spotlight Segment to allow one participant to share a featured item, be it an unexpected genealogical discovery, a favorite heirloom, or a helpful resource or website. Board members may use this segment to feature one unique library resource.

Plenty of time is available for all participants to join the Open Discussion to pose questions, present brick walls, or offer tips and advice of their own.

This is an excellent opportunity for IGS members to socialize, and to help each other along with our quest to find ancestors. It’s also a great way to discover new or forgotten resources at the IGS Library, so we hope you’ll join us!
