Membership in the Immigrant Genealogical Society
Thinking of becoming a member? Wondering what the benefits of membership are?
An IGS membership entitles you to:
- A monthly subscription to the IGS Newsletter, full of news of what’s happening at the society and around the genealogical globe. Newsletters are sent by email, but you can choose first class delivery for an additional fee.
- Coming Soon: Access to our Members Only section of the website with the ability to view and download proprietar material (more details to come).
- Free admission to The Immigrant Library in Burbank, California, whereas a donation of $5 is requested for each visit by a non-member.
- Discounted rates to some events and workshops (when applicable).
- Access to a community of genealogical researchers with expertise in German Genealogy. All are invited to join us on the Second Sunday of each month, but members are especially encouraged to come share their knowledge, knock down brick walls, or ask for advice.
- Tax deductions for you membership dues, and for additional donations.
- Participate in elections of directors at the IGS Annual Membership meeting, held on the Second Sunday of November at 2:00 PM Pacific Time.
- The satisfaction of supporting a dedicated group of volunteers who are determined to keep the IGS Library open and the collection available to all who research Germanic ancestry.

If you are an existing member and already have a recurring annual membership through PayPal, you do not need to take any further action!
