About IGS
Since December of 1985, the Immigrant Genealogical Society (IGS) has conducted business as a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, donations to IGS are tax-deductible for both federal and state purposes. IGS issues tax donation receipts for amounts of $50 and greater. Donations are used to purchase new library materials and periodical subscriptions, especially publications relating to German genealogical research. Donations also help support the technology behind hosting Second Sundays and other educational events throughout the year.
Cash donations of any amount are greatly appreciated, as even small donations help towards “keeping the lights on” in our facility on Magnolia Boulevard, so that we can continue to make the collection open and available to the public.
Please consider donating to IGS or becoming an IGS Member.
